I had to enlarge that picture just to make sure; your Dad IS bare-chested in the snow. AM now pretty sure of two things, 1 that Vikings are tough and 2. that I possess NO Viking blood - I needed a coat just to look at that picture!
Hi Heidi! First and foremost, I want to THANK you for congratulating me on my new nursing endeavor. Most times I wonder what the HELL I'm thinkin of, but at others, I know its my calling.
I had to make some sense of having a son with cancer, right?
I'm definitely not a saint, I'm not high energy, I'm not a super Mom, or a super person.... I'm just plain ole me thats trying to make a mark on this sometimes scary earth.
On that note, you all are a gift from God to ME in encouraging me, supporting me and giving me the faith in myself to continue on. I will finish up when I'm 50, thats a scary number in itself. Having friends like Kim-d around makes my life that much easier...
Hope your day is filled with loving friends who support you day and night!
I saw that he was in shorts, but I had to enlarge the photo to realize that he was also shirtless. I often get overheated when I go snowshoeing. I guess that would be a solution.
hee hee, only the Vikings and the Canandians go out in the snow with bare skin. When I was a teen, my girlfriends and I would lay out cardboard and garbage bags under our towels and sunbathe during chinooks in February. Fun!

Ack!
So glad spring (summer??!) has arrived in southwestern Germany. Hope it's so nice when I get to the States next week!
OMG - that is classic!
That picture reminds me of my Dad when he was ice fishing in his shorts and flip flops last spring!
Kimmy
So I'm guessing it was a nice day?
That picture is priceless!
Tee Hee! I have a picture of The Man like that -
I'm no Viking. Even if it were socially acceptable I could never do that - I'd be an ice cube!
I had to enlarge the pic to make sure I was seeing what I THOUGHT I saw--a bare-chested dad-man skiing.
How hilariously wonderful!
I'm freezing just looking at that picture! I need to go out and get a dose of the NJ sun:)
You come from hearty Viking stock, that is for dang sure.
Your dad is the coolest Viking around!
That's a great picture! I've been spring skiing and I can sort of understand the no shirt thing- it can get pretty warm. :)
That's awesome! He might be in trouble if the sun goes down, though!
Hahaha! Excellent.

Yikes!
That looks like the best way to enjoy snow to me--without the cold!

NOT!
Your crazy viking dad - HA! That's a great picture.

That is HI-larious!!!!
That is a great, great photo!!
Yikes! Why would people want to enlarge this??? Um. I totally just enlarged it. I wondered how hairy his chest was . . .
Maybe he didn't need a coat . . . you never know.
You gotta love this crazy Viking!
Brr. That makes me cold just looking at it!
But it's the good kind of crazy!
Hopefully all are doing well.
Still, snow!
I'm sure it's in his blood though...
Your dad is one helluva viking!
And also? He looks about seven feet tall in that picture.
Your Crazy Viking Dad rocks! LOL!
I heart crazy Vikings.
ha ha. too cute!
What a great day. Tanning and x-country skiing, perfect!
Um...wow...
No really WOW! What a guy! A tough guy! A cold guy? LOL!
That's what my Dad does!
This further convinces me that I am a wuss!
And he looks like he is having so much fun. Maybe I should listen to Hubby and take up cross country skiing.
He is quite possibly the coolest cat on the planet!
Hope he didn't get sunburnt though!
Heidi, your Dad is just awesome ;)!!
Now THAT's a true Viking!
LMAO!!!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
