Oooh! I just happened to be on Google Reader when this popped up! I get to be the first commenter! (Commentater?)
It's so great that your boys get to spend time with their cousins - and that they're close! I was very close to my cousins growing up... and my boys have only a few girl (ew!) 2nd cousins & the rest of them are all in NZ...
Hi Heidi, thank you for visiting me and for your lovely comment. What an awesome adventure you and your family are on! I would love to do the same one day.
It is great that they have cousins to be close too. You are lucky that both of your boys have a cousin close in age. It must be fun for them to be spending this time together!
I love the pictures in this and you last post although they are making me feel chilly. That is wonderful your kids are close to their cousins. My husbands side of the family live only 10 minutes away, yet we only see them 2-3 times a year.
How cute! I have very fond memories of hanging out with my cousins as a child. I think we got in trouble a few times together too....but I am SURE that was not the case here! :)
I really loved growing up in a big family. When I got married I wanted to provide that feeling for my kids but it was too tiring to have more than two. So now, I am settling for close cousins and close friends. I think it's a great compromise. Only thing is now they are so used to having the "group" around them, they constantly want their friends around.
I love these pix - first one, boys with sticks :). And that second one, what an amazing backdrop. So glad that all the boys are so close. I never had very close cousins - most are in Montreal, and the closest one in age to me was a boy, 8 years older. Liam is hoping that a boy cousin comes along really soon - he's the only boy on BOTH sides!
Aww. Sweet! My kids are awfully close to their cousins too (in age and in spirit, but, alas, not so much in distance...but we visit often). Cute pics, Heidi!
Hi Heidi, I sent you an email but wanted to follow up with you here in case you did not get it. I saw your comment this morning and wanted to let you know that I did get your first email the other day, and I did respond. I hope you got it, I re-sent it to you, just in case. If you responded to that email, I did not get. I'm sorry for the confusion!
Sweet pictures and beautiful scenery (as always!) Cousins are awesome because they're like siblings, except they go to their own homes before the fighting starts.
I know I am cluttering up your comments, but I wanted to let you know that I double checked your email address and resent again to you, Twice! From both of my email accounts. I am really hoping you get one of them this time. I had your correct address, so I'm not sure what was wrong!
Oy, yoy, yoy - sorry! Five days later... I did the trip to NZ once, when Max was 13 months old... and I'm not really aching to do a 24 hour two airplane trip again. (Also, since they're X's relatives, not so sure I'm really invited back!)

Do they keep in touch when you're not in Norway?
Hi Alm,
Yes, my boys are really close to their cousins. Good thing, too, because they only have those boys and now their baby brother Emil.
You need to go visiting NZ with your boys! I'm happy to come along as your luggage carrier, or whatever you might need :)
Great photos. I always loved spending time with my cousins - it was the best part of the whole summer. See ya.

Love that second picture. Priceless.
Cousins make the best of freinds. You can never loose contact with each other because you are family, but you don't have to live together.

Very cool up there on that mountain!
Great pics! I was never close to my cousins as a kid... too much of an age difference! And I was a GIRL with all the boys!

talk to you soon!

Cute cousins...good times.
Awww, I want to live in Norwegian Story-Book like place...even if it is for only 10 months.
Cousins are awesome. Mine are a million miles away. I miss them like crazy.
Your kids are so lucky - mine have NO cousins, and cousins are SO much fun.
I, too, have a best cousin--actually, more than one.
Built in friends for life.
Fabulous pictures!
