Why Do You Always Have A Headache?

...he asked.

Surprisingly, it isn't because of the way he teaches fractions (though that does make me want to smack his head against something very hard).

No, my headache is caused by spending days on end, trying to translate gibberish such as:

The software aids in the assessment of human brain scans enabling automated analysis through quantification of mean pixel values located within standard regions of interest facilitating comparison with existing scans derived from FDG-PET and SPECT studies.

Ugh!

[Aside to Mr. Technical Writer: Did you really think those fancy words would hide the fact that you don't understand how the machine works?]

Breathe in...breathe out...

After a few weekends of outdoor fun, this will be a working one. The boys will no doubt be thrilled to be left alone with their electronic loves, while Mike and I try to make headway in the piles of work screaming for attention.

If the weather gods are amenable (read: stop the snow already!), we may find time for a brisk walk, but other than that, I will be a slave to my computer.

I trust everyone else has much more exciting weekend plans, and look forward to reading all about them.

Happy Weekend!

Sadly, I too will be a slave to my computer, in an attempt to get all of my work done before we leave for our trip in a week.

Good luck. I hope you get some down time.

Fractions and a weekend spent working? I feel your pain!

Hopefully you will get through it all quickly!

I'm being abandoned by my husband for a Boy Scout campout. Yes, he wants to get away that badly.

Reading that sort of writing all day would give me a headache also! Have a great weekend anyway, in spite of the piled up work.

Ooof... I don't think I could read that stuff without getting a headache either, Mama.

Our weekend... actually it's looking good. Saturday I get to hold a newborn baby (my co~worker's ~ assuming the labor induction today goes well), my boys have a play date with friends at our house (entertainment not provided by me is good!) and that night I am joining my favorite mama's at the Cheesecake Factory (avocado egg rolls are in my future... mmmmmmm).

Sunday will be less thrilling but I'll try to think of something fun just for you :)

I don't even understand how you do what you do. I mean, is there really Norwegian words for the "quantification of mean pixel values"?

Funny, meant to ask you about work yesterday. I hope that it goes well and quickly for your sake. Yikes!
Happy weekend to you too.

Holy Cow, that would make my head spin (did actually). I guess saying "enjoy your weekend" isn't quite appropriate. I hope you have a productive weekend and finish all you work so you can get back to enjoying Norway. Take Care

I'm celebratin' this weekend AND I'm on spring break next week; not a typical weekend!

Be productive so you can get back to playing sooner.

Good luck trudging through the work this weekend so that you can get back to play mode! :)

We have some fun in our future, hopefully to be documented on the blog.

Ugh. That does not sounds like a fun weekend.
We are cleaning out our basement and garage since the weather will finally be above freezing. Not really looking forward to that either, but at least there is no snow in the forcast. :)

My weekend plans will probably be just as painful as I try to get my children to clean the outlandish filth pit that has become of their rooms and family room. Luckily I have plenty of ice cream to see me through it all. =)

So, can you translate that bit of gibberish into English for me? Good luck with that. =)

OMG, that's just a couple of lines... I can only imagine the manual. Poor you, Heidi!!!
Sounds a little too much like my job... thank goodness for a bit of break right now.

Don't you kids be working the whole weekend now; we need more pics for vicarious living!

I hope you can get a lot done quickly so you can have some free time. I have a fairly relaxing weekend planned other than getting ready for Monday - Opening Day of Baseball Party:)
