How Norsemen Conquered England

It takes more...

than a bit...

of rain...

to stop true Vikings...

from flexing their muscles...

Sadly, the same cannot be said for Englishmen...

I guess I must not have any Nordic blood!

Ah, but one of those Englishmen is injured, is he not?

Beck said...

ACK! In that bottom picture, I would SWEAR they were sitting in my grandma's living room!

Someone has to keep the invalid company, no? I too have got not one drop of Nordic blood in my veins. It's all that hot Italian stuff - that comes awake when the sun starts warming the windows.

ha ha ha! Hysterical!

heh heh

I suspect I'd like to be one with the couch, too . . . yet my boys would want to be outside on the court.

Really cute post, Heidi!! I went back through your posts to see what you have been up too - knew you were moving and all - you have been busy and I so enjoyed your wondeful posts and pictures!! I hope you are having a good time. I'm sorry you all have had sadness in leaving Norway, but so look forward to hearing about all of your adventures upon moving back and arriving in Canada - and any/all adventures along the way. I have missed you - see you soon - Kellan

He He ;) I'm proud to say I've got some Viking blood, and I've played tennis in the rain to.

How fun! I've never played tennis on a grass court before, you guys are doing the coolest things!
But sitting on the couch on a rainy day sounds good too!

Ha! You Vikings are tough.

I suppose that it is now confirmed that I have no Viking blood. It's the Irish blood that would have turned playing tennis in the rain into a drinking game. :)

Ooohhh . . . nice juxtaposition. Man, I miss using that word.

Awesome pics!!!

Those English boys. Can't live with them, can't play tennis in a drizzle with them.

That's too funny.

BWAHAHAHA...very, very clever, Heidi. Not to mention funny! However, I must point out that at least the relaxing Englishmen are extremely handsome. And I mean, really, ya just GOTTA love anyone named Alistair :). And now I'm totally convinced that my little teeny tiny tinch of English blood found a way to override the much-higher-percentage of Norwegian blood, cause I'd be there on the couch, too! In fact, rain or shine, tennis went by the wayside about 20 years ago. So I'm thinking it's my highest-of-all concentration of stubborn-German blood that overrode both of the others. Hehehe...

Hey, kim-d stole my laugh.

I love this. You guys (the vikings) totally rock. I'm afraid I'm more English at the moment, but when I'm not preggo I'm more viking like and I would totally be out there in the rain with you.

Julie Pippert said...

LOL Love it. I'd play with you.

I always tell my kids, "Little rain won't hurt; we're not made of sugar so we don't melt!"

Put the Vikings on my island....

What's little rain anyway? I stood outside in the rain for 5 hours on Saturday for my son's baseball game!

Ha! That's hilarious.

I'm an Englishwoman, myself. That couch looks good to me. ;)

Ewww! I hate rain - but I am impressed that you were out playing despite it. Looks like you are having a pleasant journey.

HAHAHA! That is too funny!

well I'm glad you had fun, but I think I'd be joining the Englishmen. :)

Fabulous!

I think I would have been inside, though. Unless it was warm and rainy. That I can handle. :)

Now that is a cute post.

We all tackle rain differently at different times of the year here. Spring we get out, summer, we get out, Fall we hibernate inside.

Control anxiety in your own life for far better pores and skin. Tension, both physical and mental, could cause skin disorders such as acne. Consider getting some time from the hectic schedule to chill out. You can consider pursuits like relaxation, and workouts like yoga. Also take time over to do things which you love to keep levels of stress straight down. Appenffk8dti
