Time Lost

What I could be doing right now...

  • Going for a walk in the lovely, sunny winter weather
  • Shopping for a dress to wear at Emil's christening next weekend
  • Baking a cake for my boys when they come home from school

What I should be doing right now...

  • Work, work, work, so ever more desperate emails will stop clogging up my inbox
  • Laundry in preparation for next week's mini getaway with the boys and their cousins
  • Exercising to at least attempt to combat the frightening results of all that yummy Norwegian chocolate

But all I want to do....

Is watch this:

Ha! You won't believe this, but I'm actually watching Lost right now! Season three, episode eight... I'm trying to get caught up before the season starts this weekend. (Amazingly, AFN [armed forces network] is showing the new season only a day later than it's shown in the States! So I get to watch it Saturday, if I get caught up...) I'm watching until the Little Mister wakes up, anyway. Which will likely be soon. :)

(I meant to say two days after...Thursday in the States, Saturday here...)

Ahhh, Heidi...how you EVER get anything done around there is a real mystery to me. I think I would spend all of my time just staring out at all the loveliness of the surroundings. But I think I'd have to bake that cake, too, because staring out at loveliness? While incredible all on its own; when accompanied by cake? BETTER, MUCH BETTER :)! Here, it is far too cold to be outside.

Also have never seen "Lost." That American Idol thing that I also had never seen? Now I'm addicted. Thanks, Heidi...hehehe!

Follow your heart Heidi - the cake, clothes and email can wait.

It's not a show I'm into, but I am enjoying a fun day of time suckage myself and want to share my good vibes.

Come along now I don't see you as the day time telly kind of a person, there again maybe you have TIVO and can watch anything any time!

Ack! Don't tempt me. I'm just getting over my tv addiction and I can't turn back now.

My household is all a-twitter with "Lost" excitement. We have no Tivo, though, and are plotting ways to soundly knock out our kids before 8:00 pm.

I'm going to try mandatory laps around the dining room table.

I say, bake the cake. Then you can eat it. Cake is good. Plus, while the cake is in the oven you can watch Lost. And then maybe the cake will be done during your show and you can eat cake AND watch your show.
Now I want some cake.

I lost interest in Lost a year ago, but it is looking good so I think I will dive back in.

My list of things to do is huge too, and involves getting off my butt and off this computer, guess I should go tackle a few things now that my coffee is kicking in.

There is always a list of things that you should be doing. I say take a break. The list will be there when your show is over :)

Maybe you could give a re-cap, since I know if I try to watch it I will be thoroughly confused. :)

I'd take the walk and then tackle the work. :)

I never got into Lost. Happy you'll have new episodes, though.

I am SO with you on that one. I've got the show being taped at home and hope to catch some of it online- have downloaded the freebies from i-tunes to keep me occupied for T-MINUS 32 hours. Nice catching up with your goings- on too-- love the cottage snow in. You are my snow hero.

I have never watched it.
I know, I know...I live in a tunnel! With the writers strike I may borrow the first 3 seasons on DVD and get caught up just so I can watch something new.
I think you should go and bake that cake!

Ha ha ha, I know what you mean. There are so many things I should be doing, but here I am on the computer blogging.

I need to work, too. I so, so need to work. Instead...I'm reading blogs. Much more fun. (But it doesn't pay as well!)

Enjoy your Lost!

This is why you need to learn to knit; the TV time can be productive time, and there's no guilt! ;)

It's like an addiction! We've screamed through seasons 1 & 2 and are about to start season 3 - thank god for Tivo!

Yeah, never got into it - but I hope it's worth the wait.

I never got into Lost, I'm so out of it I still think of Matthew Fox as Charlie in Party of 5! I'm afraid if I start I'll be glued to the TV, and that's what I need, to be addicted to 2 screens at once LOL!
