Is that daddy helping them? How much trouble was he in?

Hee. That's an awesome snowpile, boys antics notwithstanding.

Oh my! It looks like fun, but sometimes maybe it's better just not to know...

When they do it, it looks fun. I've officially got to the age where I'd be too scared. The age of reason, I think it's called.

That looks like something my husband would have the girls do when I wasn't looking - like teaching our 7-year-old how to jump off the roof of the boathouse up at the lake. Gives me gray hair just to think about it.

Kellan said...

Like I've said before - my Little Billy would LOVE handing with your boys - LOVE IT! Cute pictures - Have a good day - Kellan

That looks like so much fun! I don't think I've ever seen that much snow in person.

Did you have your video camera handy? This looks like some America's Funniest Home Video scenes were about to happen!

Looks like they're having a blast - I'd be tempted to join them!

Those are fabulous pics! We used to do that off the second story porch at my house growing up. So fun!
Of course if I had to watch my boys do it I would be peeing my pants the whole time.

that looks like so much fun. I want a turn to jump into the snow too.

Ice Cream said...

Oh how I miss the big snows we would get when I was a kid. Let them play (as I know you do), memories like that are worth a broken bone or two =)

Mary Beth said...

If that is possible, there is just WAY too much snow on the ground:)

What kind of reaction did they have when they caught you taking their pictures? Oh Sheet?

Christie said...

Only boys would do that. You know that girls would be inside the house quietly playing Barbie. Great pics!

Sandy said...

Oh my, too much fun.
That looks like something our boys would do - into our pool! LOL

Melissa said...

Ha ha. My dad use to do that with us too! We would shuvle off the roof and then sledd off or jump off. I'm sure my mom would have been ticked, but we did enjoy our selves :)

I'm so not showing my children these photos, lest they get some ideas...

Lisa said...

NOOO WAYYY!
I have to show these to my kids!

kim-d said...

YEAH, BABY! At their age, I would have done the same thing--forget the Barbie's :)! I'm just surprised they haven't thought to build a sled/toboggan run off the roof! Hey, Heidi--should I suggest it to them??? HAHA!

The last picture made my heart stick in my throat! Then, I remember what a tomboy I had been and the wild and dangerous things I had done. Tried to hide most of them from the gustapo. They would have died a million times over had they known.....
So, enjoy life to it's fullness and be safe about it too.

Aaahhh..the adventures of having boys!! My whole theory, when people around me are gasping from seeing something my boys are doing..."sometimes, it's just better to NOT look"!!!
These pictures are priceless!! Looks like just too much fun!!!

we did this in college from a second story window. my mother was horrified when she saw the pictures. looking back I understand why, but at the time I kept insisting "We made sure there was a soft pile of snow underneath!"

jennwa said...

Even though I am a mom through and through, that looks like fun. I would have to try that too.

Victoria said...

Ooo! Love it! We used to do that in college.

Much too old now. =)

That looks like a ton of fun! Brings back childhood memories. When I was a kid, the snow bank came almost to the eave of our garage/shed. We loved sliding down that roof.

Anonymous said...

That looks like so much fun. I think my Hubby, A & J would all love to be jumping off that roof with your kids. They were jumping off the play structure last week!

I have two boys as well (11 and 7) that is something they would do (if we lived in snow...well I guess even when don't they still do).
